(He will go abroad by aeroplane)

Oh havaee jahaj ton videsh jayega.

He = Oh, will go = jayega, aeroplane = havaee jahaj

Present Continuous Tense

In Punjabi, to make a sentence in present continuous tense, we add the words ‘reha han’, ‘rahi han’, or ‘rahe hn’ at the end of the sentence. We also remove the ‘na’ from the root verb.

So,

‘khaana’ (to eat) becomes ‘khaa’ + ‘reha han’, ‘rahi han’, or ‘rahe hn’

‘chalna’ (to walk) becomes ‘chal’ + ‘reha han’, ‘rahi han’, or ‘rahe hn’
